DESIGNER CONSULTATION FEE? Free phone calls and e-mail consultations help you decide if my designer toilet seats are right for you. However, if for any reason you cancel a custom order after order has been placed on my production schedule your $50 deposit toward the total cost of order is forfeited. If however, after you receive the finished seat and if for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of my product this fee is refundable as discussed in the guarantee info below.

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE? This $50 deposit toward the total cost of the seat is required for your order to be put on my production schedule.  The mailing address is Sandra Holland dba uniqueChic, PO Box 2081, Athens, TX 75751. When received, work on your final design begins.  Photos of your bathroom & adjoining room, any existing art in the room, color palette information and answers to a brief questionaire I will e-mail you will be needed from you. Additional decor information may be required. This is a crucial part of the project because it helps me visualize the room the seat will be in and helps me get to know you - better assuring you of the very best design I can come up with for just you in mind. It will require a little work from you but pays off in the end.

As in any custom design project, artistic freedom is required. I never know exactly what a seat will look like when completed. That creative process is what I enjoy and why I only do a design one time. The design we discuss does however give me general guidelines and along with the info you provide I think I can come up with a truly uniqueChic seat for you.

COST? Cost of decorative toilet seats vary. Final design, number of sides decorated, cost of seat purchased to decorate, decoupage or hand painted, embellishments and upgrades are some of the factors that determine the final cost. My seats are not the least expensive on the internet but they are not the most expensive either. Seats done in 2008 will generally average in the $200 to $250 range unless special upgrades are desired. Multiple orders do receive a discount. I offer layaway for seats with a balance of $150 after the initial required down payment is received. However, payment in full must be received before shipping seat. Price is quoted to you before seat production begins so you have no surprises.

PRODUCTION PROCEDURE & DELIVERY? Finished product delivery date is determined by how many customers are in front of you at the time I receive your deposit (discussed in following paragraph). Final payment is due upon completion of seat and before it is shipped. Seat is shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receiving final payment. After completion of your seat, I e-mail final pixs for your approval. When approval and full payment are received, the seat is insured and shipped priority mail; generally takes approximately 4 to 6 days. There is a $30 shipping & handling charge.

GUARANTEE? After receiving seat, if not completely satisfied with the quality of the product, return to me immediately for full refund of your cost + shipping. I offer free repair for up to 2 years on any problems with my artwork. (I have been in this business about 2 1/2 years thus the 2 year guarantee. The artwork on my personal seats (which is how I got started in this crazy business) however still looks new after 8 years. I only did the top and inside top on mine.

In the U.S., the standard distance between hinge post holes is 5 1/2"and there are generally two size seats for toilet bowls - standard (round) & elongated (oval). Although easy to determine, you will need to measure your toilet -- elongated (approximately 18 1/2" long) or standard (approximately 16 1/2"  long).

Measure from center of the hinge post holes to the center front of bowl for this measurement. Also the shape of the front of the toilet bowl will be rounded on standard and oval on elongated bowls.

Please include this measurement when ordering. It is the sole responsibility of the customer  to determine the right size seat needed.

RECOMMENDED CLEANING:

For disinfecting a spray bottle of 50% peroxide & 50% water is a great cleaner; the peroxide disinfects but is much less abrasive than bleach on the finish. Otherwise, just wipe down with your bath rag and dry with towel when necessary. For rock seats you may want to briefly dry with your hair dryer if you are concerned about water standing in the groves. I not had any complaints in this regard. If an abrasive cleaner is occasionally needed, rinse with warm water spray and dry after it's use  Cleaners should not be used on metal hinges anymore than absolutely necessary and should be dried after cleaning. Follow these cleaning instructions and the beauty of your seat should last for years.

PRODUCT INFO:

Toilet seats are hand painted, decoupaged, or a combination of both & designs are not duplicated, assuring my customers that they are indeed receiving a one of a kind uniqueChic decorative toilet seat designed just for them. They are often embellished with rocks, wood, or other products. Wood or wood composite seats are generally used and hardware is included. Paint has been protected with multi coats of clear non yellowing sealer. I start with a variety of seats depending on the customer's budget.
